Students present ‘Messiah’
The Dixie Center for the Arts will be filled with the sweet sound of children singing on Monday as A.E. Phillips third-sixth graders present the “Messiah.”
Students, along with a small orchestra from Louisiana Tech University, will take the stage twice at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday to allow more community members to attend. The event will cost $2 for students and $5 for adults.
Randall Boyd, A.E. Phillips choir director, said the group has been working on the piece since August and this is the second time the school will present the piece.
