Junior wide-receiver Quinton Patton was one of many Bulldogs who got a chance to “pet” a sea lion at the world famous San Diego Zoo Sunday as a part of their San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl experience. Today, the bulldogs will visit SeaWorld, they will have a reception sponsored by the Make-a-Wish Foundation at the Omni Hotel and finally, they will participate in a parade through the historic Gaslamp district that will also include a battle of the Tech and TCU bands.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — It’s more than 2,000 miles away from north Louisiana, but Louisiana Tech University is scheduled to have a solid fan base for Wednesday’s San Diego Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl.

According to Ryan Richard of the Louisiana Tech University Alumni Association, approximately 400 tickets have been purchased by Bulldogs’ fans located in the San Diego area. That number comprises individuals who are members of the alumni group.
