Louisiana Tech University junior wide receiver Myles White runs up the field after making a catch in Wednesday night’s Poinsettia Bowl against Texas Christian University. White caught seven passes for 110 yards and a touchdown against the Horned Frogs. Despite White’s performance, the Bulldogs lost to TCU 31-24 in the Poinsettia Bowl.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — The Horned Frogs proved too sticky for Louisiana Tech on Wednesday night.

TCU (12-2) lived up to their pre-game favorite’s tag in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl by ringing up a 31-24 victory over the Bulldogs (8-5) before 24,607 fans at Qualcomm Stadium.

It was a familiar outcome for the Mountain West Conference champs when making a postseason appearance at the Poinsettia Bowl. TCU is now 3-0 under such a setting, plus boosted its all-time bowl record to 14-13 (including seven wins during this decade).
