Weatherspoon gives team an ‘expert’ tour of city

Head Coach Teresa Weatherspoon (first row, second from left) and members of the Louisiana Tech University Lady Techsters’ basketball team had an extensive tour of New York City in between their recent appearance at the St. John’s Classic in the “Big Apple.” Weatherspoon, who starred in the WNBA ranks while with the New York Liberty, provided much of the tour guide duties for her team.

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Jasmine Bendolph and her Louisiana Tech teammates took a small bite out of the Big Apple.

Bendolph and the Lady Techsters were in New York last weekend for the Chartwell Holiday Classic hosted by St. John’s and found a little time away from the basketball court to experience life in the big city.

Following their triple overtime win over Prairie View A&M on Sunday, the majority of the Tech travel party loaded the team bus and headed into the City where they made stops at Madison Square Garden, Ground Zero and Times Square.
