Town adopts budget
GRAMBLING — The Town of Grambling this week got one step closer to having their finances in line.
In a special-called meeting Wednesday night at City Hall, the town passed the 2011 amended budget and approved the 2012 budget to get things in line for the new fiscal year.
The amended budget for 2011 showed Grambling had a revenue total from 2011 from the months of January to November of $1,724,349. The town has estimated receiving another $156,759 for the month of December. The new amended budget has the town’s revenue for the total year set at $1,838,580, with a 2 percent variance between the estimated revenue and the actual money budgeted for revenue for the year.
