Gibson learning on fly in D-League
CANTON, Ohio — After missing last season with a shoulder injury, Kyle Gibson is back on the court with the Canton Charge of the NBA Developmental League.
The Louisiana Tech product punctuated a stellar collegiate career as the Bulldogs’ leading scorer in 2009-10, averaging 18.4 points and finishing second on the team in assists.
In 2010, he caught on with Miami’s summer league team after going undrafted but suffered a dislocated shoulder, an injury that forced him to sit out last season. “It was tough,” Gibson said. “I just had to be mentally strong and told myself I was going to bounce back from it and here I am-able to play and able to get back to my old self.”
