Notice is hereby given that by virtue of a Writ of Seizure and Sale issued out of the Honorable Third Judicial District Court in the above entitled and numbered cause, and to me directed, I have seized and taken into my possession and will offer for sale at public auction, at the principal front door of the Court House in Ruston, Lincoln Parish, LA, between the hours governing judicial sales on WEDNESDAY, January 11, 2012 beginning at 10:00 A.M., the following described property situated in Lincoln Parish, LA, to wit:
Section 31: Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Northeast 1/4 of Northwest 1/4, said Section 31; thence West 1,522 feet; thence South 867.67 feet; thence North 68 degrees 21 minutes 4 seconds West 222.5 feet to an iron pipe, being the point of beginning; thence North 68 degrees 21 minutes 4 seconds West 268.03 feet; thence run South 9 degrees 27 minutes 20 seconds West 100 feet; thence North 75 degrees 40 minutes 0 seconds West 202.04 feet; thence run South 18 degrees 1 minute 4 seconds West 169 feet to the center line of U.S. Highway 80; thence run South 73 degrees 39 minutes 10 seconds East 490 feet along the center line of said highway; thence North 6 degrees 1 minute 10 seconds East 320 feet to the point of beginning, containing 3 acres, more or less. LESS and EXCEPT: begin at the Southeast corner of Lot 22, of Margaret Place Subdivision of the Town of Grambling, Lincoln Parish, Louisiana, per plat and map of said subdivision on file and of record in the office of the Clerk of Court of Lincoln Parish, Louisiana and from said point of beginning, thence North 16 degrees 54 minutes 33 seconds East along the East line of said Lot 22, and along a portion of the East line of Lot 21 a distance of 136.55 feet, and to the Southwestern most corner of Lot 14 of said subdivision; thence South 76 degrees 47 minutes 7 seconds East along South line of said Lot 14, a distance of 202.4 feet, and to a corner of said Lot 14; thence North 8 degrees 20 minutes 13 seconds East along said Lot 14 a distance of 100 feet and to a corner of said Lot 14; thence South 69 degrees 28 minutes 11 seconds East along said Lot 14 a distance of 70 feet; thence run South 9 degrees 25 minutes 26 seconds West 278.65 feet and to a point on the North right of way line of U.S. Highway No. 80 (said North right of way being 40 feet from the centerline of said highway); thence North 66 degrees 49 minutes 11 seconds West along the North right of way line of said highway to the point of beginning 295 feet; the hereinabove described property being subject to that boundary agreement executed by Elza Hays, Jr., et ux with T & P Builders, Inc., dated May 7, 1982, recorded in Conveyance Book 380, Page 304, of the records of the Clerk of Court of Lincoln Parish, Louisiana. Which has the address of 7762 Hwy 80, Ruston, LA 71270.
Seized as the property of defendant Marchale Canty and will be sold to satisfy writ and all cost. Terms of sale cash with benefit of appraisement. This 2nd day of December, 2011.
