Ruston High’s girls closed out play in their own basketball tournament on Friday night with a 51-48 victory over Dubach High.

Shadarria Crawford had 21 points and Miyata Bridges 19 points to pace the Lady Bearcats of Head Coach David Aguilar.

Sue Key was the leader for the Lady Hornets of Head Coach Theodis Johnson with 27 points.
Ruston’s New Living Word School was a 67-59 boys’ winner over Athens, while the NLWS girls lost to Athens, 41-32.

Javier Roper (eight), Lee Mason (18), Ty Mason (17), Xavious Williams (15) and Tracy Hampton (seven) led the NLWS boys.
