Is a hotel in Grambling’s future?

The Town of Grambling took a couple of steps forward in its quest for economic development at the monthly meeting Thursday night, as the board of aldermen approved the purchase of approximately 9.3 acres of land, along with another approval that would allow a Houston-based marketing company to conduct a market study to see whether or not building a hotel would be feasible in town limits.

The aldermen started off the meeting by first approving the purchase of the 9.28 acres of land that run along R.W.E. Jones Drive and Louisiana Highway 149, for a total price of $175,000.
