Most people picture an out of control, unruly child when they hear the term Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. But, the reality is that according to the National Institute of Mental Health, 4.1 percent of adults in the United States also have ADHD.
Of those diagnosed with adult ADHD, 1.7 percent have a severe form of the disorder.
According to the National Resource Center on ADHD, adult ADHD can cause problems in every aspect of an individual’s life including school, jobs, at home, in the family and everyday living.
