City’s historic district signage goes up
Burt said the Ruston Main Street Commission paid for the materials and the city of Ruston paid for actually making the signs.
“So far we have had very good comments about doing this,” Burt continued.
“It is another way to identify the heart of our city not only to visitors but also to local residents who may not have realized that this section of downtown is so unique.”
Burt said the economic life of downtown is dependent on making it something which stands out from the ordinary.
She added the new signage will help accomplish that.
