Bulldogs blast Golden Lions, 13-8
Kody Neel hit a three-run home run to center field, as Louisiana Tech University’s baseball team defeated the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff1 13-8 Tuesday afternoon in Pine Bluff, Ark.
Tech (2-2) got off to an early start as the Bulldogs scored five runs on four hits in the second inning.
Freshman Bre’shon Kimbell led off the inning with a double to right field, as Jeff Whitney lost the ball in the sun. Second baseman Austin Hedges followed with a single to center field to extend his hit streak to 13 games, giving Tech runners at the corners with no outs. Catcher Kyle Arnsberg followed with a double into the right-center gap scoring Kimbell, giving the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
