Rotary honors February students of month
The Ruston Rotary Club proudly announces the recipients of the February Student of the Month Awards. Recognized by Rotarian Jim Hilton, each student was honored at the Feb. 22 luncheon and presented an award of achievement by club president Tom Garza. Each awardee has maintained a minimum GPA of 3.5 and been active in extra curricular activities and leadership roles on their respective school campus.
Cedar Creek High School is represented by Molly Mitchell, a senior with a 4.28 GPA and 31 on the ACT. President of the Art Club, she is also secretary of both Student Council and National Honor Society. A member of the Temple Baptist Church Youth Group, Molly also participates in Homework Helpers Tutoring and the “Have a Heart” St. Jude Fundraiser. An AP Scholar, she was a Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen district winner and honored with the Ruston Masonic Honesty and Integrity Award. Molly plans to attend Baylor University or Texas Christian University to major in psychology.
