Emory named as Dixie president
Lynne Gnemi passed the gavel to John Emory Jr. at the Dixie Center for the Arts annual meeting on Feb. 21. After serving two years as president of the arts center, Gnemi has moved to an advisory position. In her remarks at the meeting attended by board members and benefactors, Gnemi thanked everyone for their continued support.
“The contributions of money and time given by those who love the Dixie continues the dream that started many years ago,” Gnemi said. “We have an obligation to carry forward the plans of those who worked diligently to make the Dixie Center of the Arts a reality. When someone gives to the Dixie Center it benefits the lives of many including our priority partners, Ruston Community Theatre, North Central Louisiana Arts Council, Troupe Dixie and Ruston Civic Symphony Society. Additionally, your commitment to keeping the Dixie strong has created a true community theater used by civic groups, schools and other organizations.”
