The scores, released Tuesday afternoon by the Louisiana Department of Education, ranked Lincoln Parish one spot behind neighboring Jackson Parish with both parishes receiving the new district performance score (DPS) label of two stars.

Charles Scriber, superintendent for Lincoln Parish Schools, said he believes Lincoln Parish Schools have continued to improve over the past two years.
