Local to play in Nashville
A local man is set to perform in Nashville this weekend.
Richard Hood, a Ruston native, has performed Chet Atkins style guitar for more than a decade.
He was asked by the Country Music Hall of Fame to come to Nashville, perform His show and present a PowerPoint presentation he has created on Chet Atkins to accompany their eight month Chet Atkins exhibit.
“Ever since 1991, I have gone to a Chet Atkins guitar convention in July,” he said “After going for a couple years, I was introduced to Buster and Lorena DeVault who were friends who were friends from Chet’s boyhood. They invited me to their home and showed me his old home.”
