March 22 marks the 50th anniversary of a long-standing community institution. The Hospital Auxiliary formed in 1962 in order to meet the needs of the new Lincoln General Hospital. The people of Lincoln Parish had gathered together to support the building of a new community hospital to replace the aging Ruston Hospital.
