Education has been in the news quite a bit lately, and as the 2012 legislative session begins on Monday, the news has only just begun.

The educational reform proposed by Gov. Bobby Jindal, which if approved as slated, would allow students the freedom to leave schools with a C, D or F in the state’s accountability letter grade system. The plans would also make the teacher job protection known as tenure harder to obtain and less powerful, making it easier for tenured teachers to be fired.
