If you hadn’t heard of “The Hunger Games” before, you’ve most definitely heard about them by now — especially considering every single seat in the local Celebrity Theatres was filled with fans during the midnight showing last Thursday.

I was handed the book by the girlfriend of one of my husband’s brothers the first time we met about three years ago. We had talked through Facebook for awhile, and she knew our interests were similar. So, she handed me the book and told me I had to read it, and that it was one of the greatest works of young adult fiction she’d ever read.
