Leading into their mid-week meeting of Lincoln Parish neighbors, Louisiana Tech University and Grambling State University had different results on Sunday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (14-14) got a ninth-inning, game-deciding triple from leadoff batter Sam Alvis to outlast Oral Roberts University 3-2 in Tulsa, Okla., and the Tigers (14-11, 8-4) were a 10-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference victim of Prairie View A&M at Wilbert Ellis Field.
