Jenna Carpenter, associate dean for administration and strategic initiatives and the Wayne and Juanita Spinks Professor of Mathematics at Louisiana Tech University, was a panelist for the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO) second annual Women’s Entrepreneurship Symposium, March 25-26 in Shreveport.

The event was hosted by U.S. Sen. Mary L. Landrieu and the City of Shreveport, and focused on the vital importance of intellectual property protection in the success of innovative businesses. The symposium provided a unique opportunity for attendees to learn specifically about the value of patents and trademarks in their businesses.
