Area Lowe’s stores finish strong for MDA
Area Lowe’s stores and their customers came together for an important cause, raising $17,814 in Shamrocks Against Dystrophy donations. Nationwide, the retailer collected more than $7.6 million to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) research and services programs.
Funds raised by the Lowe’s stores in Monroe, Ruston, Alexandria and Pineville help local individuals and families affected by muscular dystrophy and related diseases.
“Our customers enjoy joining MDA and its fight against muscular dystrophy,’’ said Joan Higginbotham, Lowe’s director of Community Relations. “Lowe’s recognizes the importance of giving back to the community. By teaming with MDA, we know we’re making an impact on many lives.’’
