Public hearing to be held Monday

A special-called meeting of the Lincoln Parish School Board is set for 6 p.m. Monday in the Ruston High School auditorium.

During this meeting, there will be a public hearing to discuss the status of the desegregation litigation in response to the federal court order in relation to the elementary school attendance zones in Ruston.

“There will be an overview that will be provided to the public that will bring forward options that have been reviewed and verbally approved by the United States Justice Department as acceptable options,” Superintendent of Schools Danny Bell said. “This is an opportunity for the community to view the options and also have the opportunity to speak — to ask questions or share any comments.”
