To say domestic violence affects us all is an understatement. It’s statically impossible to not know someone who has experienced some form of abuse in a domestic relationship.
Collectively, it costs employers $1.8 billion in loss of productivity. Not surprisingly, health care-related costs due to domestic violence are even more costly at around $4 billion.
Although these numbers alone give reasons to intervene, they do not reflect society’s moral obligation.
