Simsboro and Choudrant had no doubt victories in the first round of the Class B Louisiana High School Athletic Association baseball playoffs Thursday.

The Tigers (19-7) cruised to a 15-0 win over Rapides and the Aggies (18-13) thumped Negreet 10-0.

Winning pitcher Josey Chandler went a perfect three-for-three at the plate to drive in a run and aid a 14-hit Simsboro offense that also featured Ben Boydstun (three-for-four, three RBIs), Brian Harrell (one-for-four, RBI), Caleb Smith (two-for-three, two RBIs), Chris Raburn (two RBIs), Eli Calhoun (one-for-two, RBI), David Dowling (one-for-two, RBI), Skylar Turner (two-for-three, two RBIs) and Tyler Fincher (one-for-one, two RBIs).
