On the night before he went through the NFL’s annual “Pro Day” rituals at Joe Aillet Stadium, Adrien Cole was admittedly more nervous than a cat in a room full of mouse traps.

“I couldn’t sleep because I knew how big a day this was going to be, that this could be my chance to show that I could play at the next level,” said Cole, who led Louisiana Tech University in tackles (128) and was named as the Defensive Player of the Year in the Western Athletic Conference during the Bulldogs’ league championship season of 2011. “I was up early the next morning, all eager to get out to the field and hopefully show the teams that I’m worthy of being in the league.”
