GRAMBLING — Take heed, NFL draft prospects. If you weren’t picked in this week’s seven rounds of selections from headquarters in New York City, do not despair.

Sure, it’s a bummer not be chosen when you’ve been touted for a phone call from one of the league’s 32 teams.

But things all work out in the long run, both from a playing and life perspective.
Ben Wilkerson says so and he’s a perfect example of overcoming obstacles, believing in oneself and persevering when things might not have gone as originally planned.
And as a senior at LSU in 2004, things certainly didn’t go as charted for the Port Arthur, Texas, native.
