First baseman Alex Williams had a hit and drove in a run for Louisiana Tech University in a 4-1 victory over Hawaii Saturday.

Maybe Louisiana Tech University’s baseball team is on life support in the Western Athletic Conference, but they’re starting to breathe a little easier.

The Bulldogs (20-23, 3-9) made a move to squirm out of its lower echelon situation in the seven-member league this weekend at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

After being edged 4-3 in the series opener against Hawaii Thursday night, Tech bounced back with a 5-3 win Friday and then a 4-1 triumph Saturday.
