The radiothon is set from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 3 at Super 1 Foods in Ruston with the Q providing live broadcast.

On Thursday, Super 1 Foods, will play host to a 12-hour radiothon sponsored by the Domestic Abuse Resistance Team in conjunction with KRLQ 94.1 FM, The Q in an effort to raise $35,000 to combat domestic violence.

During the live broadcast, lasting from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., DART will accept donations while advocates of domestic abuse victims speak on the radio three times per hour.
According to Deb Faircloth, a community advocate with DART, the purpose of the radiothon is not only to raise money but also to spread awareness.
