Finally an end to war in sight

When I was 13 years old, something happened that I would never really quite understand the meaning of, not even now, some 10 and a half years later.

The events I am talking about are the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center, and while I remember everything that happened, I wasn’t ready for the effect it would have on the world after that gloomy Tuesday morning.

This event starts to mean even more to me now, especially after I watched President Obama’s special speech in Afghanistan on Tuesday night where he was laying out how the war would end and what the plans for the country would be just one year after Osama bin Laden was killed by the U.S.
