Group seeks online votes from residents to win funding from State Farm

State Farm officials have announced that Ruston’s Hope Center for Autism program has been listed as one of 100 finalists for a $25,000 grant in partnership with the Urban Support Agency in Shreveport.

The Hope Center for Autism’s “Autism Awareness” program was one of 3,000 “causes” submitted to State Farm this spring for consideration.  This is a first-of-its-kind competition from State Farm, which will result in 40 nonprofit programs, each receiving $25,000 grants, based on supporter votes on Facebook. This was the only nonprofit Cause in Louisiana to make the top 100 finalist list.
