New schemes.

So Ruston High School fans may need to be prepared for a new experience when the Bearcats’ offensive unit lines up Saturday for an intrasquad scrimmage at James Field.

“We’ll be using some no huddles, more spreads and throwing more,” sized up Head Coach Billy Laird about the makeup of the offensive squad for the 2 p.m., spring practice-ending event. “We’ll be doing some different things. We’re excited about the potential there. We’ve made good progress during the spring and this (the intrasquad scrimmage) will give us another chance to see where we are before we return for fall drills.”
