SUBJECT: Committee Report
The Facility Security Study Committee of the Lincoln Parish Police Jury met in the Police Jury Meeting Room, Lincoln Parish Courthouse, April 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Members Present were: Theresa Wyatt, Kip Franklin, Chad Alexander, Andy Shealy, and Linda Cook. Also present were Jeri Robinson, Courtney Hall, Bobby Bennett, Skip Russell, Nancy Wilson and Sharyon Mayfield. Absent: Hazel Hunter, Judge Jay McCallum, and John Holloway. Theresa Wyatt called the meeting to order and Skip Russell delivered the invocation. Linda Cook made a motion, seconded by Kip Franklin, to approve the Agenda. The motion carried with the following votes:
YEAS: Wyatt, Franklin, Alexander, Shealy and Cook
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Hunter, McCallum, and Holloway.
Homeland Security Director Kip Franklin briefed the committee on security projects that had already been completed. Mr. Franklin then presented the Phase Two Facility Security Plan which includes various security and controlled access projects for various departments located in the Lincoln Parish Courthouse. Total estimated cost of the plan is approximately $59,000.00 with Homeland Security Grant Funding to provide approximately $41,000.00. Remaining funds would come from the Lincoln Parish Police Jury Courthouse Capital Fund. Following discussion, Andy Shealy made a motion, seconded by Linda Cook, to recommend to the Police Jury that these facility security projects be implemented and funded. The motion carried with the following votes:
YEAS: Wyatt, Franklin, Alexander, Shealy and Cook
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Hunter, McCallum, and Holloway.
