Lincoln Parish schools see gains
If they haven’t arrived already, state standardized test scores should be arriving soon. With that, the Louisiana Department of Education has released a picture of how well overall school districts did this year.
A release from State Superintendent of Education John White’s office reveals that overall, more students in Louisiana achieved passing grades than any year before. According to the release, nearly 10,000 more students reached grade level this year. The percentage of students statewide performing at Basic or higher on the iLEAP and LEAP tests grew from 66 percent statewide in 2011 to 68 percent statewide in 2012.
