I’m fairly young, but I am of the generation who saw the Twin Towers go down. That day changed the lives of so many people, from those on the plane and on the ground, to their families, and those across the country and even some around the world. It was horrific.
Nevertheless, it was months later that then President George W. Bush sent troops into Afghanistan and consequently Iraq. The generation that had experienced the gilded, carefree age of the 1990s had entered the bleakness of a war era.
