Submitted photo ACHIEVE recognized award-winning members of trailblazing Lincoln Parish STEM competitions during an end-of-the-year luncheon at Pizza Inn. Those honored included (left to right) I.A. Lewis STEM instructor Stacy Campbell and IAL ExploraVision awardees Kenzie McGuire, Emerald Paige Grant, Jamiah Franklin, Triniti Calcote and Patrice Perry along with Ruston Junior High School “You Be The Chemist” honorees Shatiyana Dunn, Deandria Moss and RJHS STEM instructor Amy Guerin.

The efforts of the Lincoln Parish School District to expand its STEM (Science, Technology and Math grants) initiatives continue to involve more students while gaining acclaim in a greater arena of opportunities. On the heels of exemplary success with consecutive sweeps at the Regional Science Fair as well as various robotics competitions, students across the district have made their mark in bold new ways during the 2011-12 year.
