Leaders focus on future of business
Presenting the north-central Louisiana outlook and data were John Francis, assistant professor of economics at Louisiana Tech University, and Bob Eisenstadt, associate professor of economics at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
“We’ve got to much of the ‘bad’ things and too little of the ‘good’ things,” Francis said.
Giving a statewide outlook was Peter Ricchiuti, assistant dean of the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
“Trade and budget deficits matter,” Ricchiuti said.
“If we don’t do something about them it will eat us alive.”
