Ex-NFL star has big thrill meeting Willis Reed

A large group of celebrities that included three Pro Football Hall of Fame members (Joe Greene, Ozzie Newsome, Charley Taylor) and an NBA Most Valuable Player (Willis Reed) gathered for the seventh annual Shack Harris/Doug Williams Foundation that concluded its annual charity event in Shreveport and Bossier City on Monday.

BOSSIER CITY — Grown men have their heroes, too.

Ask Ozzie Newsome.

In his own right, he is one of the NFL’s all-time best players, considered by many to be the greatest tight end in the game’s history.

He’s a former All-American at the University of Alabama, a three-time Pro Bowler, first round draftee and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
