Former Ruston Lincoln High School star James Rodney Richard unveils his ‘Walk of Fame’ Houston Astros’ plaque that was recently presented to him during ceremonies at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Richard, the No. 1 draft pick of the Astros in 1969 following a legendary career at Lincoln High, was one of major league baseball’s most successful pitchers in the 1970s, among his accomplishments being 300-plus strikeouts twice during a three-year span.
