Farmers often talk about the million-dollar rain, much needed and timely precipitation that helps their crops grow.

In the case of the rains passing over much of the grain-growing areas in Louisiana last week, it could be many more times that in revenue for our farmers, according to Matt Raley, seed and chemical sales manager with Raley Brothers, LLC in Crowville. Raley likened the event to the last inning of a baseball game.
