Miss Tech wins crown
MONROE (AP) — Lauren Vizza has been crowned Miss Louisiana and will represent the state in the Miss America pageant next year.
Vizza won a $10,000 scholarship on Saturday night in Monroe. She was also the winner of the swimsuit competition.
She was previously named Miss Louisiana Tech University.
Miss Shreveport Carley McCord was first runner-up; Miss Louisiana Watermelon Festival Jaden Leach was second runner-up; Miss Lafayette Mallory Cox was third runner-up; and Megan Miller was fourth runner-up.
Cox also won the talent competition with “Rhapsodie Mignonne” on the piano.
