Happy Second, er uh, Fourth of July!

It might be suggested that there are two great moments of birth or beginning that we celebrate in the United States of America, Christmas and Independence Day.

Many of us still believe that our heritage is intertwined with Christianity and its teachings, despite the fact that many of our forefathers were Deists. Many were Christian, though, and Christianity is more prevalent in our history and culture. So without traveling into the realm of what led to our country’s formation, it can be safely stated that the birth of Jesus Christ is quite important to the people of this country. We celebrate His birth on  Dec. 25.
