Variety is the spice of life
We had a barrier to hurdle in choosing from a menu filled with foods with Japanese names, and including ingredients like avocado, eel and crab. There was definitely no sign of chicken and mashed potatoes on this menu. Believe me. I looked.
“What is this?” was the question of the evening, and I’m sure the server grew tired of answering it for us.
“Well, I mean, most of them have what they are,” he said, visibly flustered, as he looked around at our blank stares and proceeded to tell us what exactly was in a California roll and whether it was cooked.
