A couple of weeks ago, I indicated there would be more to come about music’s “Renaissance” period, following the 1950s. I had forgotten what a daunting task this would be. Quite frankly, I am blown away!

My research has been more than a stroll down memory lane. This has become a marathon of infinite proportions.

As I leave 1960 to Ray Charles and “Georgia,” Bobby Rydell and “Volare” and Bobby Vee with “Devil or Angel,” I can’t close the door because here comes Fats Domino “Walking to New Orleans.” “Cathy’s Clown” is doing “The Twist” with Chubby Checker.
