New Living Word ready for kids
Nothing stands in the way of New Living Word School taking in an additional 165 students when classes begin next week.
Reports last week suggested that plans the school had to utilize their chapel and the second floor of their gymnasium to accommodate the extra students had not been approved despite the fact that school is scheduled to start in eight days. Don Zeringue, chief architect with State Fire Marshal Chief Butch Browning’s office, said that is not the case.
“They have filed the appropriate paperwork,” Zeringue said. “We’ve performed our plan review, and they are approved.”
