Along with the recent assessed property value increases, the Ruston City Council must decide on two new ordinances that will affect the amount of taxes property owners pay at the end of this year.

Due to property being reassessed this year, the Ruston City Council voted unanimously last week to introduce two ordinances that will either keep revenues the same by decreasing the millages or continue at the same millages, which will subsequently bring in more revenue.
