Dendy, Johnson wed
Sarah Paige Dendy, of Bernice, and Michael Andrew Johnson, of Ruston, were united in matrimony in a 5 p.m. ceremony on Aug. 11 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Officiating the double ring ceremony was Michael Hawley.
Sarah is the daughter of Jeff and Debbie Dendy, of Bernice, and the granddaughter of Vi Harlow, of Bernice, Monette Dendy, of Bernice, the late John Harlow and the late Woody Dendy.
Michael is the son of Tammy Freeman and Mark Johnson, both of Ruston, and the grandson of Michael Lee and Susan Freeman and Charles David Sr. and Mary Jo Johnson, all of Ruston.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory silk satin gown designed by Eve of Milady. Swarovski crystals embellished the entire drop-waist bodice, while the lower portion of the gown had pin-tucked embellishments with bows and crystals throughout the entire cathedral length train. The cathedral length veil, designed by Toni Federici, was ligned with Swarovski crystals. The bride carried a bouquet full of blush pink ivory, and white cabbage roses with hydrangeas accented with white veronica and lemon leaf. The bouquet was wrapped with ivory satin ribbon.
Magan Murphey, of Bernice, served as maid of honor, while Niki Albritton, of Bernice, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lauren Davis, of Ruston, Erica Craighead, of West Monroe, Ellery Gorman, of Bernice, Jamie Roberts, of West Monroe, and Margaret Hindman, of Ruston. Jordan Albritton, of Bernice, and Sarah-Cate Johnson, of Ruston, served as junior bridesmaids.
Bridesmaids wore a black silk taffeta floor length one-shoulder gown designed by Angelina Faccenda. Junior bridesmaids wore a floor length black satin dress, accented with a beaded emblem on the waist. Each carried a bouquet made of pink spray roses, pink alkstroemeria lilies and small pink hydrangeas wrapped with black satin ribbon.
Serving the groom as best man was Mark Johnson, of Ruston. Thomas Terral, of Farmerville, John Caleb Johnson, of Ruston, Martin Anderson, of Calhoun, Justin Pemitt, of Arcadia, Jeffery Dendy, of Bernice, and Nicholas Dyson, of Atlanta, Ga., served as groomsmen.
Lacey Terral, of Farmerville, served as the flower girl, while Daltin Albritton, of Bernice, served as the ring bearer.
Kayla Hart, of Farmerville, served as vocalist during the ceremony.
Pamela Ellis and Ann Albritton attended the book.
All flower arrangements were done by Lauren Roebuck Designs.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Ruston Civic Center. Fastpak catering of Arcadia served the event.
Prior to the ceremony, on Aug. 10, Mark and Nikki Johnson and Tammy Freeman hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Emmanuel Baptist Church Family Life Center.
After a honeymoon to Ochos Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Bernice.
