As our teens begin to face the decision of what their plans are following high school, they need to be aware that whatever path they choose they will most likely be questioned about their experience in the areas of leadership and service. If they are involved in 4-H, they will have no problem answering that question when it comes. 4-H already has in place many opportunities for teens to be involved in leadership and service. By actively participating in 4-H, teens will automatically gain memorable experiences in these two areas to the point of not really having to think that hard to answer the question that is sure to come as they head out into the “real world.”
