All Lincoln Parish public schools, as well as A.E. Phillips, Bethel Christian, the Grambling lab schools, Wildflower Montessori and Cedar Creek, will be closed on Thursday because of the expected weather conditions accompanying Hurricane Isaac.

School officials say the closure is for the students and employees’ safety. No decision will be made on whether schools will be closed on Friday until Thursday afternoon. If conditions improve, or are expected to improve on Friday, there will be school.

Grambling State University will close classes at 4 p.m. today, but is expected to resume classes at 8 a.m. Tuesday. GSU offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday.

No decision has been made yet regarding Louisiana Tech University.
