‘Chunking’ cans

Pictured above are students from the Montessori School of Ruston Middle School, along with teacher Katie Guinn and former NFL lineman and current Louisiana Tech University professor Brandon Moore. The group constructed the “Crush and Chunk,” to collect aluminum cans at all Tech home games.

A former New England Patriots offensive tackle, and current assistant professor in the School of Biological Sciences at Louisiana Tech University is encouraging school kids to support green initiatives and helping a local nonprofit all at the same time.

With the help of the seventh and eighth grade students at the Montessori School of Ruston, Brandon Moore constructed a “Crush and Chunk” structure that will make its rounds during all home football games a Tech.
